Homemade Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200 gm low fat mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoon pizza sauce
  • black pepper as required
  • 2 1/4 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cup bread flour
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 50 gm tomato
  • 50 gm onion
  • 1 handful black olives
  • 50 gm mushroom
  • 50 gm capsicum (green pepper)
  • 1 jalapeno

Instructions

  1. To prepare the dough, combine warm water and sugar in a large bowl. When sugar dissolves completely in water, add dry yeast and keep it aside for 5 minutes. Then add olive oil, bread flour and sprinkle salt. Mix the ingredients well with your hand and knead the mixture to form a soft dough.
  2. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and set aside for 15-20 minutes. Transfer the dough to a flat surface and sprinkle a bit of flour over it. Gently knead the dough again for a minute or two. Flatten the dough using a rolling pin. Spread pizza sauce evenly on the dough. Carefully transfer the pizza base on a baking sheet.
  3. Preheat the oven at 250 degree Celsius. Meanwhile take a chopping board and cut vegetables into thin slices. Top up the pizza with chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicums, mushrooms, jalapenos and olives. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on the vegetables. Place it in oven and bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts. Season with black pepper, cut into slices and serve hot!
