Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 3.5 dl Warm water (not hot ”finger warm”)
  • 1 bag dry yeast
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 10 dl wheat flour

Instructions

  1. 1. Measure the water into a big bowl. Let the yeast and sugar melt into the water by mixing it in. Let it sit for 10 mins so the yeast has time to work. Make sure the water is not too hot as this can cause the dough not to rise.
  2. 2. Add salt & oil and mix slowly in half of the flour.
  3. 3. Continue adding flour until you can’t mix it anymore without using hands.
  4. 4. Continue mixing with a kitchen machine with a dough hook on medium speed. Or if you prefer: out the dough on a clean table with floured baking paper underneath and continue molding the dough by folding it inward towards itself and pressing towards the table.
  5. 5. Add flour with regular intervals until the dough is even, elastic and is no longer sicking to your hands & table/dough hook of machine. This usually takes about 10 minutes of hard molding/machine run time on medium speed.
  6. 6. Oil the bottom of the bowl & form the dough into a ball and place it in the bowl.
  7. 7. ”Paint” the dough with a bit of olive oil and cover the bowl with a kitchen towl. Make sure to not leave any holes.
  8. 8. Let the dough rest for 1h. When the dough has doubled it’s ready to use.
  9. 9. Divide the dough into about a handsized ball and add flour on the baking table and roll it out.
  10. 10. Add tomato sauce & toppings. Make the pizza in a 200-225 degree C oven in 5-10 minutes.
  11. TIP: If you want to freeze some of the dough, you can divide it into an olive oiled freezer bag. Make sure to leave a bit of room in the bag as the dough might still rise a bit in the freezer.
