Healthy Pizzeria Style Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
- Pizza Dough: (adapted from Di0nne’s pizza dough recipe)
- 1 c. white whole wheat flour
- 7g pkg active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp honey or blue agave
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 T olive oil
- Pizza Sauce:
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1/4 lemon
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 T. basil
- 1 T. oregano
- 1 T garlic, minced or 1/2 T garlic powder
- 1/2 T crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp honey or blue agave

- 8 oz shredded low-fat mozz
- 1/2 c parmesan
- 1 pkg turkey pepperoni
- 1/2 c sliced mushrooms
- **And any other toppings you like. (I made mine 1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni because my children won’t eat toppings)
Instructions
- Mix flour, yeast and salt in medium bowl.
- Add honey and warm water.
- Mix until well blended (if dough is sticky add more flour).
- Fold in olive oil and knead on floured surface until soft dough-like texture.
- Grease pizza pan and stretch dough to fit pan.
- Bake dough at 450F for 5 min, until slightly golden.
- Meanwhile, mix pizza sauce ingredients until well blended.
- Remove crust from oven and turn down temp. to 375F.
- Top crust with sauce, cheese and toppings.
- Bake until cheese is completely melted, about 20 min.
