Pizza Dough (by Marianne Stanco Leal)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water (warm, 120 degrees)
  • 1 package Dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons Olive oil extra virgin
  • 3 cups all-purpose Flour bleached
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. * In a large bowl, combine the water, sugar, yeast and 1 tablespoon of olive oil and stir. Set for about 10 minutes.
  2. * Add 1 1/2 cups of flour and salt, mixing until the mixture is smooth.
  3. * Continue adding the flour, mixing the dough after each addtion until the flour is mixed in and the dough is sticky.
  4. * Lightly flour a kneading board and place the dough mixture on and knead until smooth, roughly 5 minutes.
  5. * In a large mixing bowl add the remaining olive oil, place the dough in the bowl and rotate until the dough mixture is coated.
  6. * Cover the bowl and place in a warm place until mixture rises, about 1 1/2 hours.
  7. * Ready to use, refrigerate or freeze.
