Whole Wheat Pizza Crust Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes active yeast
  • 1 1/4 C. water (100-110 degrees)
  • 1 3/4 C. white flour
  • 1 1/4 C. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 C. canola oil
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine yeast, warm water, and sugar in measuring cup. Cover and set aside.
  2. Combine flours,and salt in large bowl.
  3. Add yeast mix, oil, and mix until dough forms.
  4. Knead on floured surface for 3 min.
  5. Shape into ball and place in olive oil coated bowl, covering with oiled plastic wrap, and allow to rise until double.
  6. Punch down and divide into halves. (Place 1/2 of dough on oiled plastic wrap and freeze)
  7. Roll out the 1/2 recipe into large pizza pan, add toppings, and bake at 400 degrees until cheese melts, and toppings are cooked.
