Easy Way to Make Pizza Dough at Home

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup Tomato sauce
  • 2 cups diced peppers
  • 2 cups sautéed mushrooms
  • 2 cups Pepperoni
  • 2 cups sliced cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Get the oven as hot as 550°F or more. Put a rack in the lower middle of the oven and heat it to 550°F or higher. If you have a baking stone, put it on the rack. Don’t be afraid to turn the heat all the way up; this will help make a top that is crunchier and tastes better. Wait at least 30 minutes before using the oven.
  2. 2. The dough should be split in half. This much dough makes two 10-inch pizzas. Split the dough in half, and while you make the first pizza, cover one half with a clean cooking towel or an upside-down bowl.
  3. 3. Flatten the dough. Baking pizza on parchment paper: Cut off a long, thick piece of parchment paper that is about 12 inches long. Roll out each piece of dough into a big ball with your hands and place it on the parchment paper. You can roll the dough out with your hands or a rolling pin until it’s no more than 1/4 inch thick. If the dough starts to get smaller, wait 5 minutes and then roll it out again. Place the pizza on top. Put half of the sauce in the middle of the pizza and spread it out to the edges with the back of the spoon. Partially cover the pizza with toppings and cheese.
  4. 4. Just bake the pizza. Slide the pizza onto the baking stone using a pizza peel or the back of a baking sheet. The pizza should be on parchment paper or cornmeal. Bake the pizza on the baking sheet if you don’t have a baking stone. After five minutes, turn the pizza over. Slide the parchment paper out from under the pizza and throw it away if you used it. After 3 to 5 minutes, the top should be golden brown and the cheese should be melted and browned in some places.
  5. 5. Cut it up and serve it. Move the pizza to a rack to cool down a bit, but not too much. Wait until you can handle it. Put it on a cutting board, cut it up, and serve. Use the rest of the dough, cheese, and toppings to make a second pizza.
